What a great summer it has been! It is hard to believe that it is coming to a close and kiddos everywhere are heading back to school! Our family enjoyed lots of Blue Mesa days, an evening trip to the Gunnison Observatory, which was a complete bust with a 7 year old. He couldn’t handle the late night astronomy talk. Fair enough. Cattleman’s Days was amazing, as always, and we even got in one quick trip to Florida early June before it got too hot down there. For the most part, we have been soaking up all of these long days and late sunsets.
How’s the market? It has been interesting. Sellers will need to be super competitive with their pricing. Buyers are finding opportunities in this market with motivated sellers even with an under supply of inventory. Late July/early August, the market woke up a bit with an uptick in sales. Prior to that, the overall market was fairly soft. Since August, it has been steady with over $11m in sales last week alone. New listings continue to trickle on the market but price reductions are the biggest theme here as we head into the fall season.
