The Fat Bike Worlds 2025 event, in Crested Butte, Colorado, is a celebration of adventure, camaraderie, and the growing sport of fat biking. Known as the birthplace of mountain biking, Crested Butte provided a fitting backdrop for this year’s event. With its pristine trails, breathtaking mountain vistas, and a community passionate about outdoor sports, the town welcomed riders and spectators from all over the world to its winter wonderland.

January 24 | FRIDAY

5pm – 9pm Fat Bike Worlds Packet Pickup and Pre Race Kick-Off Party

Kick-Off Party: Matchstick Lounge, Elevation Hotel, 500 Gothic Road, Mt. Crested Butte

January 25 | SATURDAY

7:30 – 9:50am Packet Pickup
Crested Butte Community School Library
Parking available in the main lot in front of the school for all participants

10am Fat Bike Worlds — 5 Laps, 24.5 Miles, Fat Bike Worlds Fun Race — 3 Laps, 14.7 miles Town Ranch (no pre-riding of the course will be allowed)

7-10:30pm Awards Party and Ten Years Gone Concert (doors open at 6pm, awards at 7pm, concert at 8pm) Center for the Arts

January 26 | SUNDAY

10am Group Ride
Start and finish at Zuni Brewery in CB South

Fat Bike Worlds isn’t just a race; it’s an experience that captures the spirit of the sport. The event kicked off with a lively opening ceremony in downtown Crested Butte, complete with live music, local food trucks, and a gear expo featuring the latest in fat bike technology. Riders of all skill levels, from seasoned pros to first-time racers, mingled with fans and vendors, sharing their love for this unique sport. The electric atmosphere is a testament to the inclusive and joyous nature of the fat biking community.

The racing action is nothing short of thrilling. Beyond the races, Fat Bike Worlds 2025 offered a range of activities for attendees. Group rides through Crested Butte’s scenic landscapes allowed visitors to explore the area’s natural beauty. Workshops on bike maintenance and winter riding techniques provided valuable insights for enthusiasts looking to enhance their skills. The blend of competition and leisure makes the event appealing to all.

For $165, your registration will include the welcome party with free PBR on Friday, race registration, awards party and concert on Saturday with free Zuni beer, Zuni group ride on Sunday (more free beer) and a sweet reusable FBW bag with 10th Anniversary branded hat and buff for the first 250 registrants.

Additionally, a retro FBW leather flask will be given to the first 120 Championship race finishers!
