Voices of Crested Butte: Past & Present

– A hybrid live audience / virtual learning series. Dr. Duane Vandenbusche will be conducting oral history interviews with local journalists Sandra Cortner, George Sibley, Sandy Fails, and Mark Reaman.
The Holly

– The Holly, was filmed over eight years in a gentrifying community in Denver and won several awards on the festival circuit.
Pea Pod Servers

– Students will create a series of serving pieces by exploring various hand building and texturing techniques.
Whimsical Houses
🗓️ November 18, 12:00 am – 2:00 pm, Wonderland C;ayworks
– Create a whimsical gnome or fairy house in clay.

Federal Indian Boarding Schools in Colorado
🗓️ November 28, 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm, Western Colorado Unversity Center
– Western Colorado University welcomes Dr. Holly Norton of History Colorado, the lead researcher of The Native American Boarding School Research Program, Colorado House Bill 22-1327. HB1327 directed History Colorado to perform a number of activities in order to understand the impacts of the federal Indian boarding schools, particularly the Fort Lewis Indian Boarding School in Hesperus, Colorado, and the Teller Institute in Grand Junction.
